President Nana Addo Akufo-Addo has urged voters to vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to succeed him as President on December 7, during the general election.
According to him, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is the best candidate among all the candidates contesting for president in this year’s polls.
Addressing a huge gathering at the NPP's final campaign rally in Accra on Thursday, December 5, President Akufo-Addo described Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the leader who has what it takes to succeed in the 4th industrial revolution.
“Vote for someone who knows how to survive the 4th industrial revolution. A leader who understands what it takes to succeed in the 4th industrial revolution. We are looking for someone who has a clear plan,” President Akufo-Addo said.
In his address, the outgoing President argued that his Vice President is well-prepared to take over from him.
“December 7 is about the future development of our country. Bawumia is well prepared to take over from me. Vote for Bawumia-No 1 and all the NPP parliamentary candidates,” the President urged.
With less than 48 hours to the main polls, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has admonished the electorates to reject former President John Dramani Mahama.
Dr. Bawumia has assured that his government will continue the works of President Akufo-Addo's government to take the country to the next level.
