Veteran journalist and Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako, has emphatically ruled out any possibility of ever supporting the National Democratic Congress (NDC), even in death.
Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo morning show, Kweku Baako commented on the upcoming December 7 elections, which he described as a contest between the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the NDC’s John Dramani Mahama.
Despite his personal admiration for Mr. Mahama, Baako stated emphatically that he has never and will never vote for the NDC.
"Mahama is like a brother; I like him and admire him, but he won’t get my vote. He’s never gotten my vote, and he knows that," Baako said.
He added, "The NDC is not a party I can reconcile myself with, despite the fact that I have great friends in that party. Even my own corpse won’t vote for the NDC."
Baako had always expressed confidence in the NPP’s chances of retaining power in the upcoming elections.
Referring to the party's elephant symbol, he shared his observations on Facebook recently, stating, "When I looked into my crystal ball two weeks ago, it seemed like a runoff in the presidential race, with the Elephant securing a majority of seats in Parliament.
“But this morning’s picture suggests the possibility of a first-round triumph for the Elephant in the presidential election."
Baako clarified that his predictions were personal reflections rather than professional forecasts, noting, "To be clear, I am neither a prophet nor a pollster."
