Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei has criticized former President John Dramani Mahama for his decision to run for the presidency again, questioning the motives behind his return to politics.
In a post on X, the actor expressed disapproval, listing Mahama's extensive political career and suggesting it is time for new leadership.
"MP for 12 yrs, Deputy Minister - 4 yrs, Minister - 4 yrs, Vice President - 4 yrs, President - 4 yrs, Former President - 8 yrs.
“Still, Former President Mahama wants to be President again. The greediness of some African leaders must never be encouraged," he wrote.
Prince David Osei further endorsed Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), as the right candidate in the upcoming December 7 election.
"Let’s all vote for a new person. Let’s vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia #1," he added.
Known for his controversial comments, Prince is one of several showbiz figures rallying behind Dr. Bawumia.
As a committed member of the NPP, he believes the party's policies best serve the nation's future.
