NPP will split if… - Man of God
The Founder and Leader of the Christian Redemption International Centre (CRIC), Apostle Schambach Amaniampong, has reminded the ruling New Patriotic Party to handle its flagbearer selection process properly or it will split the party.
He pointed out to the NPP that his predictions about the party would come to pass since predictions he made about Nigeria and La Cote d'Ivoire have all come to pass.
Apostle Amaniampong stated the reminder in an interview with the Independent newspaper.
According to him, he predicted the political turmoil and bloodshed in Nigeria and La Cote d'Ivoire and the need for Christians to pray against that. All that, he pointed out, have come to pass, and serve as high proof of the potency of his predictions.
Restating his prediction on the NPP, Apostle Amaniampong said if the party failed to manage well the process of electing their flagbearer for the 2008 elections, the party is likely to split up as happened to the National Democratic Congress in 2000.
He explained that the NPP must exercise great caution with the selection of its presidential candidate because failing that a debilitating power struggle would ensue that could lead to the break away of some disenchanted candidates.
And they would take away their constituencies, which could affect the might of the NPP, he added.
Currently, about twenty (20) presidential aspirants have indicated their• wi1lingness to contest the position at the upcoming NPP Delegates Congress in December.
Apostle Amaniampong contended that, if there is a split in the NPP, it could affect the electoral process and subsequently affect the young democracy in the country.
He stated that this situation could soften the ground for the opposition NDC to wrestle power from the NPP.
He has accordingly advised that President Kufuor keep a neutral stance on the choice of the flagbearership of the party and also keep closer to God during the last two years of his reign in order to attract divine direction.
According to him, a close relationship between President Kufuor and God, would uplift the economic and political fortunes of Ghana, so that he can leave behind a good democratic legacy for the republic.
The Apostle also asked government officials especially the President and Vice President Aliu Mahama to be careful while driving in convoys, to forestall any plans the devil has to draw them into fatal accidents that could claim lives. That, he affirmed, would discredit the state executive.
He observed that, since 2007 is a jubilee year for Ghana, she would see great transformation that would ensure prosperity and success for a number of Ghanaians, especially "whoever has trusted God for financial, matrimonial and other breakthroughs."
The Apostle also predicted the flow of lots of foreign investments into the country between August and October.
Last year, the Apostle predicted that the country would experience a number of industrial uprisings for demand for better remunerations. He also predicted the formation of a new political party.
On the global front, Apostle Amaniapong predicted that terrorists, who are today unrelenting in their atrocious activities, will be bent on heightening their suicide bombings and terror attacks.
He therefore called for intensified payers from all to neutralize those negative plans.
