The Dean of the UPSA Law School, Professor Ernest Kofi Abotsi has raised concern about the rampant corruption in Ghana.

According to him, the country has been caught in a corruption trap where state capturers have mastered the game of looting.

In a post on social media, Prof. Kofi Abotsi questioned candidates contesting the 2024 General Election over their policies to address corruption should they secure power at the end of the polls.

“Ghana is caught in a corruption trap & state capturers have mastered the game,” the Dean of the UPSA Law School bemoaned in a post on X.

Prof. Kofi Abotsi continued, “Finance leadership during elections, split the booty thru’ ostensible private sector projects, and you have Ghana in a chokehold forever. What are the candidates’ policies against the biz of corruption?”

Although the plans of various presidential candidates on corruption in the 2024 general election are not clear, they have all promised to deal with the canker when voted as President.

Following Monday’s Special Voting, all is set for the main polls on Saturday, December 7.
