Elections Election 2024: Massive Ashanti region support proves Bawumia will lose - Mahama
MON, 02 DEC 2024

The presidential flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama, has expressed his satisfaction with the success in the Ashanti Region after a large crowd gathered to show their support for him and his party during his campaign tour.

While campaigning in the Ashanti Region, John Dramani Mahama stated that even if the NPP flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia, were to spend an extended period in the region with his family, he would still lose the election.

“When we planned to campaign in the Ashanti Region, we were informed that Dr. Bawumia would be spending two weeks there.

"As a result, we decided to visit the Western North and other regions instead. I didn’t want any clashes, which is why we postponed our visit,” Mahama explained.

“After his visit concluded, we decided to head to Ashanti. Dr. Bawumia quickly rushed back here. I am advising him to relax because, even if he brings his wife and his bed to Kumasi, he will still lose the election,” Mahama added, teasing his opponent.

Mahama also expressed surprise at the large crowd that gathered in Ashanti to show their support.

He stated that the reason Dr. Bawumia and his party members are unsettled and cannot stop mentioning his name is the overwhelming support he is receiving from Ghanaians, particularly in the Ashanti Region.
