Some politicians are like jelly puddings
US President Joe Biden announced he had signed a pardon for his son Hunter Biden before soon leaving office. During his election idea bid, Biden had categorically denied giving a pardon ever to his son. Hunter Biden is a known user of illegal drugs and still has a gun in his possession. Along with the charges of federal tax aviation he faced imprisonment of up to seventeen years behind bars handed over to him later this week.

Republicans among them President-elect Donald J. Trump called the move of the sitting president hypocrisy and a breach of the promise he had given to the American people. He and his followers are outraged using this decision as a weapon against the Joe Biden legacy and the Democrats at large. Joe Biden has nothing more to lose therefore decided against his own words the love of his son and his son's family during the last time of his shaking life has paramount priority over the values of promises made or the interest of the country and the trust Americans should have in democracy and politics, especially in the integrity of politicians to stand firm no matter what.

Neither the Republicans nor Donald J. Trump in their criticism of Joe Biden asked for a reform of the right of a US President to pardon people. Standing firm on great values they could have advocated that Presidents are not entitled to pardon family members, friends, and allies they have a personal relationship with or helped them along the way to become a President. In this light, the standing firm is wabbling like a jelly pudding hitting close to the brink of moral beliefs. President-elect Trump wants to use the current power of a President for his cases at the end of his last term so for his closest allies.

The original principles of a pardon are washed down the democratic sewage system into dirty waters dissolved beyond recognition with the ocean waters of history. Jelly puddings are sweet and light-colored while rocks are never shaken by waves coming over them.
