Approach upcoming elections with unity, peace, and love — Speaker Bagbin urges Ghanaians

Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban S. K. Bagbin, has called on Ghanaians to maintain peace and unity as the nation prepares for the December 7 general elections.

He emphasized the need for citizens to embrace love and patriotism during this crucial period.

In a message shared on Parliament’s official Facebook page on December 1, the Speaker reminded Ghanaians of the significance of peaceful elections in safeguarding the country’s democratic progress.

“As we enter December, a month of hope and anticipation, I urge all citizens to approach the upcoming elections with unity, peace, and love for our nation,” he stated.

The veteran politician also highlighted the collective responsibility of citizens in building a prosperous nation.

“Together, let’s build a brighter future for Ghana,” he urged.

Ghanaians will go to the polls in December to elect a president and Members of Parliament.

The Speaker’s call for peace aligns with ongoing efforts by various stakeholders to promote violence-free elections.

Political leaders, civil society organizations, and security agencies have reiterated the importance of maintaining peace before, during, and after the elections.
