The People's National Convention (PNC) is of the firm belief that it will win 26 seats in Parliament.
Although the political party is backing John Dramani Mahama to win the 2024 presidential election, they are assuring their parliamentary candidates of their backing.
At an event to announce the decision to support John Dramani Mahama’s bid to become president for the second time, the PNC’s national assured their parliamentary candidates of supporting them to victory in the election.
The failed flagbearer of the party, Bernard Mornah said at an event that “The parliamentary candidates that we have across the country, the party will continue to support them. We are hopeful that we will win, if not all, of the 26 that we have filed to be fully represented in the 2024/2025 Parliament. This declaration sits well with all of us.”
Ghana goes to the polls on December 7 to elect new leaders to steer the affairs of the country.
The opposition NDC is optimistic about a win because the people of Ghana give political parties only eight years to govern.
However, the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is sure to retain power by making history as the first political party to break the eight-year cycle of political power.
