Prince Ayerakwa celebrates successful launch of two books in Asankrangwa

On November 24th, 2024, renowned author Prince Ayerakwa, popularly known as PAZION, marked a significant milestone in his literary journey with the successful launch of his two books, The Inner Harmony From a Clear Conscience and Street Smart, Book Smart.

The event took place at the Asankrangwa Melody Hotel in the Western Region of Ghana, attracting a large and enthusiastic crowd.

The book launch not only celebrated Ayerakwa's literary achievements but also showcased the vibrant cultural scene of Wassaman, his hometown in Asankran Oda, located in the Wassa Amenfi West Municipality. The event was presided over by Mr. Alberto Tekyi, former District Chief Executive and proprietor of IBS Educational Complex, who demonstrated his strong support by purchasing a copy of the book for GH¢5,000. This generous gesture was followed by bids of GH¢2,000 each from Mr. Justice Eshun, CEO of Modish Royal Montessori, and Hon. Ignatius Kwasi Afrifa, NPP parliamentary candidate, highlighting the community’s enthusiasm for Ayerakwa's work. Mr. Enock Aduabaah, popularly known as Alan Cash, also acquired a copy for GH¢1,000, along with several other supporters.

The books themselves received thoughtful reviews. The Inner Harmony From a Clear Conscience was expertly analyzed by Mr. Philip Amoasi, former head of supervision at the Ghana Education Service – Amenfi West Municipal, and a prominent figure who won the Agoroo national super champion title in August 2001. Street Smart, Book Smart was also well-received, with insightful commentary provided by Miss Dadylina Sarpong Boateng Miriam, Assistant Director at the Amenfi West Municipal Assembly, and Mr. Samuel Archer, Head of the Science Department at Asankrangwa Senior High Technical School (Asectech).

The smooth execution of the event was ensured by a dedicated team. Mr. Gilbert Kwame Adjei Tannor served as the master of ceremonies, expertly guiding the proceedings, while Koffie Wisdom (MC Vhimguy) managed the engaging auction. The event’s organizational success was also attributed to Mr. Oppong Tawiah, Barnabas Boham, and Desmond Duku, who ensured a seamless flow throughout the evening.

A particularly memorable moment was provided by Diana Oforiwaa, who mesmerized the audience with a stirring poem titled "Talents of the Land, an Ode to Asankranman." In her thought-provoking piece, she celebrated the diverse talents flourishing in Amenfi West while paying tribute to the area's rich cultural heritage and history.

The event also featured captivating musical performances by Quasi Darkx and Abacha, whose talents entertained the crowd, as well as the mesmerizing dance performances by the Five Star Dancers and Kofi Kingsley. The evening concluded with a delightful refreshment session, where attendees were able to enjoy each other's company and celebrate the occasion.

The successful launch of Prince Ayerakwa’s books serves as a testament to his literary talent and the strong support for local talent within the community. The event was a resounding success, blending insightful literary critique, community celebration, and vibrant entertainment into a truly memorable occasion.
