Could Boateng Gyan Appreciate Good Governance Better Than President Kufuor?

Could Boateng Gyan Appreciate Good Governance Better Than President Kufuor?

It is inexpressibly absurd for Mr. Yaw Gyan Boateng, the long-forgotten former National Organizer of the country’s main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), to equate the unarguably significant and politically authoritative endorsement of the Candidacy of the widely presumed Next President of the Sovereign Democratic Republic of Ghana, Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia, by the twice, consecutively elected former President John “The Gentle Giant” Agyekum-Kufuor, as being eerily indicative of the great reluctance of a supposedly poorly performing twice, consecutively elected Akufo-Addo-led government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to concede defeat in the highly unlikely event of the far more progressive, innovative and attractive Vice-President Mahamudu Bawumia losing the watershed 2024 Presidential Election to the jaded, clueless and politically spent Serial and the Dynastic Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress, namely, the twice-rejected, one-term former President John “I Have No Classmates in Ghana” Dramani Mahama (See “Kufour's endorsement of Bawumia a warning that NPP may not easily concede–Yaw Boateng Gyan” Modernghana.com 11/19/24).

The truth and the stark fact of the matter is that in 2016, it was the seismically defeated then-Incumbent President John “Ouagadougou Ford Expedition Payola” Dramani Mahama who, in the incontrovertible testimony of His Royal Majesty, The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei-Tutu, II, had to be heavily pressured to concede defeat to the now-lame-duck President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who had thoroughly and irrecoverably defeated Candidate Mahama by more than One-Million Votes. Otumfuo Osei-Tutu, II, made the foregoing revelation before a Plenary Session of the United Nations’ General Assembly in New York City.

A disconsolately and an implacably mortified Mr. Mahama would characteristically rudely and crassly cause a press release to be composed and published by Mr. Julius Debrah, the goofball pinch-hitting and chuckle-headed Mahama lapdog of a Presidential Chief-of-Staff, vehemently denying that any such diplomatic overture had been made by His Majesty to get Kwame Gonja to promptly and responsibly concede defeat. It would also shortly and further come to light that, in fact, Ghana’s lone Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Immortalized former Secretary-General of the United Nations, Mr. Kofi Atta Annan, “The Busumuru,” had also assured an irredeemably defeated President Mahama that there was absolutely nothing that the Bole-Bamboi native, from the Akufo-Addo-created Savannah Region, could do to reverse the results of an unimpeachably fair and transparent election which was already in the global public domain.

In short, if the proverbial “Gentle Giant” has decided to unreservedly throw his pachyderm’s weight behind the widely acclaimed “Father of Ghana’s Digital Revolution” and brilliant and first-rate Economist, it is primarily because 85-year-old former President Agyekum-Kufuor envisions in the Oxbridge-educated Walewale native, from the Akufo-Addo-created North-East Region a rare and a unique promise for the near-future development of Ghana that our beloved Elder Statesman finds to be woefully and sorely lacking in both the Serial and the Dynastic Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress and the equally egomaniacal and the pathologically self-befuddled proprietor and the politically cantankerous and promiscuous “Butterfly Man” and Founder of the so-called Movement for Democratic Change, a breakaway New Patriotic Party “Political Concubine” and junior partner of the faux-socialist and populist National Democratic Congress.

Mr. Boateng Gyan is smack on target to point out that there are a lot of socioeconomically excruciating challenges facing the country under the watch and tenure of the present twice-elected Akufo-Addo Administration, except that the long-discarded or ousted National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress does not concretely and convincingly demonstrate to the overwhelming majority of Ghanaian voters and citizens, precisely in what ways the previous social-intervention programs-collapsing Mahama regime had performed relatively much better than the present twice-elected Akufo-Addo-led and the Bawumia-”Mated” government. What with the four-and-half years of Dumsor and Stygian Darkness during which more than 50-percent of all Ghanaian businesses effectively collapsed, and the rate of unemployment and underemployment more than doubled well over and above the levels bequeathed by the previous Agyekum-Kufuor-led government of the New Patriotic Party, which had struck oil for the country on the very eve of its official departure or exit?

You see, the one major problem facing the State-Capture Operatives of the National Democratic Congress is the fact that Ghanaians are looking for real change, not the tired and the nauseating recycling of the same old “Cash-and-Carry” Apostles of Probity, Accountability, Transparency and Justice who, as it turns out, are absolutely nothing more than an unconscionable bunch of Nation-Wrecking GIHOC-Demolition Squad of unrepentant kleptocrats. Ghanaians, contrary to what the charlatanic and the cynical likes of Mr. Boateng Gyan would have the rest of us believe, are not in dire need of the return to Jubilee House of a clinically slow-witted and mildly retarded public-dole sponging career politician morbidly obsessed with taking Ghanaians back on a bone-shaking ride to the lugubrious Year of 2012, in order to “Correct His Past Mistakes.”

You see, the truth of the matter is that Ghanaians, by and large, are darn too intelligent and sophisticated to be fatuously fixated on the past or Ancient History, to the total exclusion of progress and upward mobility. That is clearly what the Looting Brigadier-Generals of the National Democratic Congress, skippered by the coup-plotting “Lt-Col.” Johnson “The Mosquito” Asiedu-Nketia, the latter-day Chairman-Rawlings-Wannabe, stand for - that is, The Dumsor Past. The Mahamudu Bawumia-led New Patriotic Party, on the other hand, is adamantly about permanently turning the lights on and keeping them on and then steadily moving all Ghanaians, enmasse, into a progressive and prosperous future.

Yes, in Bawumia, Ghana Will Be Moving Forward from Sor-Sor to Sor; Not from Sor-Sor to Dumsor. All registered and eligible Ghanaian voters must stand up to be counted!! “IT IS NUMBER ONE ON THE BALLOT SHEET, IT IS BAWUMIA!!! AND THE ELEPHANT!!!!
