The Savannah Region's representative, Salifu Namawu, has been crowned the 2024 Queen of the North Ghana in a grand ceremony held on Saturday, November 9, 2024.

Namawu, a 22-year-old Midwifery student at the University for Development Studies, claimed victory after a competitive three-month journey.

The grand finale brought together four finalists, including Rose from the North East Region, and Anatu and Iman from the Northern Region, who each showcased the tourism potential and cultural heritage of Northern Ghana.

At the end of the vibrant ceremony, Salifu Namawu was named the Winner of Season 4 of Queen of the North Ghana TV Reality Show.

Rose from the North East Region took the title of 1st Runner Up and Deputy Queen, while Anatu and Iman from the Northern Region were honored as Tourism and Cultural Ambassadors.

Namawu now succeeds Queen Zakiat from the Upper West Region, who held the title in Season 3. As part of her prize, Queen Namawu will receive a branded Queen of the North vehicle at an upcoming presentation ceremony in her hometown of Kpembe, East Gonja Municipality. She will also lead a one-year project focused on cultural promotion and community development.

A former Face of UDS and a successful contestant in previous pageants, Namawu aims to reveal the treasures of Savannah Region and Northern Ghana to the world.

The Queen of the North Ghana TV Reality Show serves as a transformative platform that empowers young women from Northern Ghana to celebrate and share the rich cultural heritage and tourism potential of the region.
