Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has strongly criticized the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for failing to improve Ghana’s deteriorating road network, especially in the Nsuta Kwamang Beposo Constituency.
Speaking to NDC supporters at Kwamang in the constituency during his Ashanti regional campaign on November 11, 2024, Asiedu Nketiah accused the government of neglect and broken promises, asserting that the NPP has not delivered on its infrastructure commitments in the area.
He highlighted the NDC’s record in infrastructure development, especially road construction, and argued that only the NDC has demonstrated the ability to address the region’s critical infrastructure needs, which he claimed the NPP has neglected.
Asiedu Nketiah urged the community to support the NDC in the upcoming December elections, encouraging voters to look beyond party lines and focus on the NDC's commitment to development. He emphasized that the NDC’s leadership is best positioned to fulfill the region’s infrastructure needs and bring lasting progress to the community.
“Who has ever witnessed a goat constructing roads, or done any developmental project, offered light or water? Why then do you expect anything from such individuals after voting them into power? Vote for someone who builds roads if that’s what you need.
“President Mahama is the only person who builds roads as you all know. There’s none other but Mahama who builds hospitals, and you can attest to that fact,” he stated.
