Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the NPP, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has reiterated his belief in the Almighty God to dictate the affairs of man and make all things possible.

Dr. Bawumia, who is seeking to serve the country as President, after playing the role of Vice President for the past eight years, has the slogan "it is possible" driving his campaign; a slogan he said was influenced by his firm belief in God.

Addressing a Catholic congregation in Atimatim, in the Afigya Kwabre East Constituency on Sunday, as part of his tour of the Constituency, Dr. Bawumia reiterated his belief, stressing to the congregation that "with God, all things are possible."

Dr. Bawumia was referring to his journey to the Presidency, which started last year when he was historically elected by the NPP to lead the party as its Presidential Candidate.

Dr. Bawumia said every step of the way, is ordained by God, adding that he will continue to trust in God and seek His divine favours.

"Unless God builds the house, you labour in vain," Dr. Bawumia said, referring to Psalm 127, to emphasise his trust in the Sovereignty of God.

Dr. Bawumia's reference to the poignant Christian quote to affirm his belief in God's ways, drew applause from the congregation, for obvious reasons.

As Muslims, they were impressed by his reference to the Holy Bible to buttress his point.

Remarkably, Dr. Bawumia's visit to the Catholic Church also brought together members of the two leading faiths in the country, Christians and Muslims, under one roof.

A number of Imams and Zongo Chiefs from the Constituency joined members of the Clergy and traditional rulers of the Constituency at the Church, where Dr. Bawumia addressed stakeholders of the community and the congregation.

The Imams, the Clergy and the traditional rulers expressed delight at the remarkable display of tolerance and unity in the Chapel, especially with the Imams observing the service.

Dr. Bawumia also commended what he described as refreshing, adding that seeing leaders of religious groups together reflects the peace and unity we enjoy as Ghanaians.

"There is peace and understanding between Muslims and Christians in Ghana and it is one of the reasons we have peace," Dr. Bawumia said.

"It is so beautiful to see Imams here in this Chapel.

This reflects our mutual understanding and respect for each other. You will hardly see this anywhere in the world but this is happening in Ghana one."

"Let us continue to live in harmony and respect one another," Dr. Bawumia urged.
