The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) came alive with anticipation as the NDC’s "Smile Again" initiative, in collaboration with TEIN UPSA, held a powerful "Campus Invasion" on November 7, 2024.
The event aimed to present the NDC’s vision, led by His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, for a brighter future for ordinary Ghanaians, especially the youth. The students responded enthusiastically, voicing their frustrations with high unemployment rates and the challenges under the current Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government, while displaying a strong desire for change.
More than a rally, the Campus Invasion was a platform where students connected with the NDC’s pledge to tackle Ghana’s rising unemployment and support the needs of young people. Many students shared personal stories about friends and family struggling to find work despite their education, reinforcing their call for new leadership and a better direction for Ghana.
The event was marked by cheers and chants as students showed their determination to vote for a fresh start. From passionate speeches to presentations of youth-focused policies, the day highlighted the NDC’s commitment to meaningful change for young Ghanaians.
With the December 7, 2024, election approaching, students are motivated to make their voices heard. They see the NDC as the path to a hopeful future. As one student put it, “We’re ready for leaders who know our struggles and are committed to change.”
