Effutu Member of Parliament (MP) and Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo Markin, has alleged that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is pursuing a deliberate agenda to create chaos and an atmosphere of lawlessness in Ghana’s Parliament to stampede government business.

Speaking in an interview on Peace FM’s "Kokrokoo" program, Afenyo-Markin accused the NDC leadership of orchestrating a plan to disrupt parliamentary work ahead of the December 7 elections.

According to Afenyo-Markin, the Minority’s recent conduct in Parliament is part of a coordinated effort to incite disorder, trap the NPP, and create turmoil.

“The thing is coming from the highest level. They’ve planned it together,” he claimed.

He added, "They have planned that there must be chaos in Parliament… creating an atmosphere of lawlessness."

Afenyo-Markin also described the unfolding situation as a "trap" set for NPP MPs.

He argued that the NDC’s recent actions of occupying the Majority’s seats were part of a broader strategy to provoke confrontation and later point to instability in the country.
