Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, from Friday, 8 November 8, 2024, will begin a three-day campaign tour of the Central Region.

"The tour aimed at touching based with the grassroots to give them hope and assurance to build a better Ghana together will visit very critical Constituencies in the region," an NDC statement, signed by Gabriel Nii Kommey Adams, Regional Secretary/Regional Campaign Coordinator, explained.

"The flagbearer of the NDC and the incoming President of Ghana will visit constituencies such as Awutu Senya East (ASEC), Gomoa East, Awutu Senya West, Agona East, Agona West, Gomoa Central, Asikuma Odoben Brakwa (AOB) and Ajumako Enyan Essiam (AEE).

"The Flagbearer will also visit Ekumfi, Mfantseman, Assin Central, Assin South, Abura Asebu Kwamankese (AAK), Upper Denkyira West (UDW) , Upper Denkyira East (UDE).

"The rest are Assin North, Twifo Atti-Morkwa, Hemang Lower Denkyira, Komenda Edina Eguofo Abirem (KEEA), Cape Coast South (CCS) and Cape Coast North (CCN)," the statement revealed.

"Consistent with the well-patronised campaign," the statement said of Mahama was "expected to share messages of hope that resonate with the people and speak to their needs".

"The messages will focus on his agenda for change by espousing the massive developmental projects and infrastructures that were executed during his administration, and speak on critical issues that affect the lives of the citizens of Central Region and Ghana's development as a whole," the NDC said.

"The tour of the region would also offer him the opportunity to engage and explain further the many policies he has put forth to help better the life of the people."

Mahama, according to the statement, "will meet with opinion leaders and change agents such as community leaders, local businesses, and address the public through community based rallies".

"The party, therefore, calls on the rank & file of its members and the people of Central region to fully participate in the tour, by attending the rallies when the trail visits their respective constituencies, in order to make the visit grand and purposeful in our collective quest to win both the presidential and parliamentary elections in the region," the statement concluded.

"We hope and pray for a successful tour of the Nation Builder."
