The New Patriotic Party Must Stop the hypocrisy and show Respect to the Electorates

Someone that begged Ghanaians to try him, and the electorates considered his appeal and grant him the opportunity to exhibit the sterling qualities he assured the people of Ghana.

Unfortunately we were deceived to buy a product that was toxic. Because they knew the product is unwholesome, they kept branding and rebranding by engaging brands and marketing experts with the tacit support from some media practitioners to saturate the air waves with deceit and lies which makes the electorates very confused as to what the truth might be.

Sadly the whiz kid that Nana Akufo Addo eulogized for having competences that would revive the economy if we gave him the nod. Almost eight years down the line the economy is at its lowest ebb. Instead of Dr Bawumia the vice president accept a collectively responsibility for the ailing economy, he rather chose to shift the inefficiency onto the president, and accused the president for reducing him to a mere drivers mate.

It doesn't make sense in one breath he Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has no power to formulate or execute government policies and in another breath he takes credits for all the good policies of the government, and vehemently reject and disassociate himself from the reckless and the wicked policies, and also attributes the failures of their government to President Nana Akufo Addo

This statement by Dr Mahamudu Bawumia was an act of betrayal to a man who plucked him from obscurity to a high office of the Vice President. Dr Bawumia's campaign messages are insult and full of disrespect to the people. How logical can it be for someone who is the second in command to disassociate himself from the failures of their government.

The failures of President Nana Akufo Addo is a shocker because they clandestine raised the expectations of every Ghanaian hence it's a betrayal of trust of the people. Sadly this government that have destroyed almost everything bequeath to them, are not remorseful for the pain they have inflicted on the good people of Ghana.

Regrettably under leadership of a human rights lawyer, have succeeded to destroy the tripod that held the State Ghana firmly. The Executive arm of government had been politicized and we now have a parallel Civil and Public Servants, one part constituted by professional public and civil servants and the other by political apparatchik whose compensation are more than the professional civil servants As for the Vice Dr Mahamudu Bawumia the acclaimed economics whiz kid, is superintending over a collapse economy.

The legislatures are sell-out, because the current architecture of the workings of parliamentary exposed them to manipulation and also compromised. The marauding hands of the Executive normally bait them with ministerial appointments and other lucrative positions which compromised their decisions against their constituents.

Unfortunately the Juduciary only arm of state that survived whenever there is a disruption in government have been politicized and packed with politically laced Justices. Sadly we have abandoned the Ghanaian traditional practice, whenever there are issues for arbitration the elders normally referred it to Abrewa (The Old Lady) for amicable resolution. Sadly the Chief Justice Gertrude Essaba Torkornoo missed a golden opportunity to employed the native wisdom to resolved the political cases.

The Chief Justice chose the political route to solve the four rogue Members of parliament who have vacated their seat by offending article 97(1)(g)(h). This provision placed a burden on any member of parliament that abandoned his or her constituents automatically lose all benefits and privileges the Chief Justice enumerated in her rulings. The four Members of Parliament knew the consequences therein,that explains why they careless to challenge the decision of the Speaker.

It is so sad Colossus like Prof.Mike Ocquaye and Mr Sam Okudzeto can be blindfolded with party colors to a extent of muddying themselves in a case that is very clear to any right minded Ghanaian. Why should they try to justify Mr Andrew Asiamah Amoako, who is the parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the NPP. The very character who created the storm in parliament in 2020 and was sacked from the NPP for violating the party constitution.

The hypocrisy and double standards of the leadership of the NPP, is very shameful, how could they register Mr Andrew Asiamah an independent member of parliament for Fomena whose tenure in parliament expires on 6th January 2025.?

The framers of the constitution envisaged some incumbent members of parliament may decide to abandon their constituents, within the three months before a general elections, and constituents would not have representation in parliament for that period hence article 97(1)(g)(h,) placed a burden on any member of parliament who vacates his seat within three months before a general election, forfeit all benefits and privileges within that period.
