New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is set to engage parents and students on November 10, 2024, to outline his education policies, emphasizing his commitment to the Free Senior High School (SHS) and Free Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiatives.
The program, titled “Protecting Free SHS, Providing Skills for Jobs - The Bawumia Plan,” will provide insights into his vision to expand and strengthen Ghana’s education system to meet the needs of young Ghanaians.
With growing concerns from parents and students about the sustainability of Free SHS, Dr. Bawumia’s campaign has highlighted that this initiative remains a top priority for the NPP.
“Dr. Bawumia is committed to ensuring that every young Ghanaian has access to quality education that can empower them for a productive, dignified, and fulfilling life,” stated Dennis Miracles Aboagye, NPP’s 2024 presidential campaign Director of Communications in a statement dated November 6.
The upcoming broadcast follows a recent engagement where Dr. Bawumia shared his economic strategies to combat youth unemployment, pledging to create four million jobs within eight years.
