Chief Dangowura Bin Iddi II, known privately as Issahaku Bin Iddirisu, hails from the esteemed Takora Gate of the Wasipe Traditional Area in Daboya, North Gonja District, Ghana. He now resides in Atlanta, Georgia, with his wife, Mary Zakaria Bin. Together, they have raised five children and are proud grandparents to four grandsons and a granddaughter. Chief Dangowura Bin Iddi II’s affable nature and dedication to Gonjaland and the broader Northern Ghanaian community in North America have earned him widespread admiration. His long-standing commitment to GANA and his efforts to promote unity among Northern Ghanaians in North America have been invaluable.

Sister Dora Zenabu Tampuri, affectionately known as “Abu,” lives in Connecticut, USA, and brings strong ties to the Sarfope Gate of Bole in Ghana. She is a mother of three and a grandmother to four. Renowned for her dedication to the preservation of Gonja traditions and her contributions to community welfare, Sister Dora Zenabu’s selection as Queen Mother reflects the community’s trust in her leadership and cultural wisdom.

The enskinment and coronation ceremonies for Chief Dangowura Bin Iddi II and Queen Mother Dora Zenabu Tampuri are eagerly anticipated and will be held on dates yet to be announced. These ceremonies will formally install the new leadership and affirm their roles in guiding Gonjalanders across North America.

This milestone is more than a leadership change; it marks a deep affirmation of cultural identity and solidarity within the Gonjaland diaspora. Through the guidance of Chief Dangowura Bin Iddi II and Queen mother Dora Zenabu, GANA aims to continue fostering strong connections to their heritage in Ghana while building unity among all Northern Ghanaians in North America.
