The Supreme Court Judges, And Jean Mensa, The Head Of The Electoral Commission, Are Rapidly Wrecking Ghana

The Supreme Court judges, and head of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa, appointed by Akufo Addo, have been a complete waste and a hindrance to Ghana's progress. The current president of Ghana appointed those individuals to the two institutions specifically to further the goals of the ruling party or the interests of a select few. No rational person can deny that the governance based on the "Agyapadie book" is false. The revelation and the contents of the book are nothing but the truth.

Since Akufo Addo and Bawumia took office in 2017, the Supreme Court of Ghana, under Chief Justice Gertrude Torkornoo and the Electoral Commission, have turned into havens for criminals. The president intentionally appointed the two main institutions, which were supposed to be the strongest pillars supporting any successful nation, rather to aid, support, and abet his widespread corruption, which ultimately caused the economy, businesses, and investments of the country to collapse. As a result, these institutions have typically become the weakest.

Jean Mensa, the head of the Electoral Commission, and Charles Mensa's wife are both NPP politicians. The 67-year-old was the CEO of Volta Aluminium Company Limited (VALCO) under former President Agyekum Kufour's government. He has been helping his wife undertake electoral irregularities, which has led to the collapse of the nation's businesses, investments, and economy. Therefore, Ghanaians must not permit such people to impede the advancement of their nation.

Ghanaians need to understand that just because the government behind the "Agyapadie book" has been exposed; it does not necessarily indicate that they have changed their minds. Since the Akufo Addo-Bawumia administration wants to achieve its objectives, discriminatory governance that benefits a select few will continue. Just two days ago, banker Kwasi Nduom, who is also the chairman of "Group Nduom," revealed that "the NPP government is deliberately targeting political opponents' businesses."

With a government like that in place, how can the country go forward so that the economy that has collapsed can get the momentum it needs to generate jobs for the thousands of young people without jobs? Serious electoral frauds and manipulations occurred in both the 2016 and 2020 elections, which should have resulted in Jean Mensa's removal from office; yet, she managed to escape punishment and is still enjoying her crimes. Unexpectedly, under her direction, things have become worse and EC's biometric equipment has been stolen.

No democratic administration in Ghana has ever seen the ongoing electoral crimes and violations of the Constitution committed by Jean Mensa, Charles Mensa, and other NPP politicians like Bossman Asare and Serebuor Quaicoe. These are some of the reasons why the NPP government's misuse of power alarmed the US embassy in Ghana, which compelled the government to enact stringent visa requirements to prevent political unrest and safeguard Ghana's democracy.

In times of injustice, Ghanaians and the opposition NDC have no place to turn because the Supreme Court has turned into a haven for criminals, corrupt officials, and constitutional violators working for the despot, Akufo Addo, and the incompetent and fraudulent economist, Bawumia. Both the Supreme Court's and the EC's judges’ criminal behaviors have contributed to Ghana's rising levels of lawlessness and impunity corruption. Akufo Addo frees all NPP politicians implicated in corruption.

Illegal mining has devastated Ghana to the extent that it has affected the nation's agriculture, particularly the cocoa sector. The European Union has shown concern about the impact of illegal mining, leading to a drop in purchasing cocoa from Ghana. Mothers giving birth to children with abnormalities and environmental hazards are just two of the disastrous consequences of illegal mining. Many communities in Ghana are having trouble accessing safe drinking water as a result of illicit mining.

Ghanaians face the most difficult obstacles not only from a corrupt and despotic leader, Akufo Addo, who lacks empathy, integrity, and conscience but also from two criminal institutions, the Supreme Court and the Electoral Commission. The truth is that Ghana will continue to be a failed state despite its wealth as long as these two institutions are in power. It’s not an exaggeration that the Akufo Addo-Bauwmia administration is the worst in Ghana’s political history.

I have been urging Ghanaians to save their nation for a variety of reasons, including the people to realize that, despite no cocoa or valuable resources like gold, Belgium is one of the wealthiest nations in Europe, with well-off residents who are both foreigners and citizens. Since I want Ghanaians to live the same life that I do, the liberation of Ghana should not only be viewed as a struggle for the opposition but also for all Ghanaians who feel that the country's riches belong to them rather than to a few.
