Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP) Kennedy Agyapong, has urged Ghanaians to vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the December election.

According to him, that will be the "surest way" to secure the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy.

Speaking in Okaikwei North during a campaign stop with NPP Vice Presidential Candidate Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Agyapong emphasized the importance of the Free SHS policy, which he said has been a life-changer for many young Ghanaians.

Agyapong criticized the NDC and former President John Mahama, reminding voters of Mahama’s past opposition to the Free SHS policy and the party’s numerous campaign adverts against it.

“A political party [NDC] that vigorously campaigned against Free SHS can certainly not be trusted with the future of the policy. The surest way of protecting Free SHS is for Ghanaians to vote for H.E Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP in the December polls,” he stated.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh supported Agyapong’s message, highlighting the government’s efforts to reduce the cost of living and pledging that a Bawumia administration would create even more business-friendly initiatives to improve livelihoods.

He appealed to the market women and traders to vote for Bawumia and NPP parliamentary candidate, Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah, to secure the Free SHS and continued development in their community.
