They are desperate for a third term to avoid accountability

“Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders that I yet have heard. It seems to me most strange that men should fear; Seeing that death, a necessary end, Will come when it will come” these famous lines spoken by Julius Caesar himself reflect his fearless disposition, contrasting with the anxiety of those who live in constant fear.

“The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones.” These insightful words were spoken by Marc Antony in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. I will like to respectfully and humbly state that President Akufo-Addo and his appointees are cowards who cannot face the consequence of their actions.

Folks, it seems President Akufo-Addo and his appointees cannot stand the consequences of former President John Mahama taking over from them, they are thus crying onto Ghanaians to save them from the disaster that will befall them if John Mahama wins the 2024 elections. The President has used every opportunity to lament about the possibility of the National Democratic Congress’ (NDC) flagbearer winning the 2024 elections and succeeding him, this is a cry for help against the calamity that losing the election will bring upon him and his appointees, nevertheless Ghanaians are not listening, Ghanaians are appalled about how one particular family and their associates have held this country to a ransom as if it is their property. It is not surprising how Akufo-Addo and his appointees are having nightmares over the possibility of Mahama winning the elections, indeed the evil that men do lives after them.

Late former president Jerry John Rawlings, former presidents John Agyekum Kufuour and John Mahama were never scared of handing over to their respective opponents because they had nothing to be scared of. The question is why is president Akufo-Addo so petrified about the prospect of handing over to John Mahama? What is he scared of, is he scared of his own shadow?

The fact of the matter is that, in the last eight years there have been so many unimaginable level of rot under this Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government. The level of corrupt practices which were craftily orchestrated and superbly executed under this administration by the appointees of the presidents are unbelievable. The objective was simple, let’s enrich ourselves and our descendants yet unborn, and they did that mercilessly.

The government is aware that in the event of John Mahama winning the upcoming elections, they will not have a peace to enjoy they loot, the corrupt practices they has supervised will hunt them, they will be held accountable for the stealing and pilfering of the state resources. President Akufo-Addo and his appointees are scared that all the state properties that have been captured by them and their associates will be seized and returned back to the state by John Mahama and Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang. They are dead scared that, the financial stability they has achieved for their children and grandchildren through corruption will be reversed by the next NDC government.

President Akufo-Addo and his appointees are dead scared of the possible prosecutions that will follow their party’s defeat for the heinous crimes committed against the citizens. They are terrified of the possibility of being prosecuted for the cold blooded murder of 8 innocent Ghanaians at Techiman South during the 2020 elections, the inhumane treatments that were meted out to the Ashaiman residents under their watch and the unprecedented violence unleashed on some Ghanaians during the Ayawaso by-election.

The only redemption for the government’s appointees is president to have Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to win the upcoming election, knowing very well that he will not and cannot subject them to accountability. This will guarantee them peace of mind and the opportunity for and their families to enjoy their ill-gotten money.

Even Dr. Bawumia himself will be subjected to accountability regarding his deals in the Power Distribution Scandal (PDS), the alleged stolen rice, the shoddy contracts he gave his siblings through sole sourcing, the alleged capture of state lands by himself and in-laws

Unfortunately for the president and his appointees, Ghanaians are very angry with them and their ways of leadership, Ghanaians are yearning and craving for accountability, and the only way we can get the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government and appointees to be accountable is by voting for John Dramani Mahama. A vote for Dr. Bawumia will not be in Ghana’s interest, Dr. Bawumia will only be a protector for Akufo-Addo and his appointees. We cannot allow this to happen, we must vote for John Mahama in order to get accountability.
