Alexander Afenyo-Markin, Leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Parliament has urged Agona West Member of Parliament (MP) Cynthia Morrison to exercise caution in her public pronouncements, reminding her that she remains a member of the ruling party.
During an interview on Okay FM Afenyo-Markin pleaded with Cynthia Morrison to be mindful of her comments and some utterances she makes during her public interviews since she is still an NPP member.
Afenyo-Markin stated that some of the revelations made by the former Honourable Minister are private and need not to be discussed in the public space.
"I've listened to Cynthia Morrison on some radio interviews. I will plead with her to be cautious about some of her utterances. Some of the things she's talking about are private and don't need to be out. People might misconstrue her words if she is not careful," he advised.
According to Afenyo-Markin, the incident that happened in Agona West is a delicate and sensitive matter, urging the MP to be mindful of her revelations especially during interviews.
The Effutu lawmaker further reminded Cynthia Morrison that irrespective of her contesting as an independent candidate, she is still an NPP member and must accord the party some respect.
"All I want to say is that, in all this, Cynthia Morrison is still a member of the NPP,” he reiterated.
His comment follows the recent clash between Cynthia Morrison campaign team and the NPP Parliamentary Candidate where gun shot was fired.
