Election 2024: 'Truthful, hardworking  Bawumia has Ghana's progress at heart; vote for him — Akufo-Addo urges Ghanaians 

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has openly endorsed Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the leader Ghanaians should support in the upcoming 2024 election.

The President described him as a "truthful and hardworking" individual committed to Ghana's progress.

Akufo-Addo, who made these remarks while addressing residents of the Ahafo Region on his regional tour, expressed his firm belief that Dr. Bawumia’s leadership is crucial for Ghana’s future.

He emphasized Dr. Bawumia's unique qualities, pointing to his economic expertise and his longstanding dedication to solving Ghana’s economic challenges.

The President noted that his close working relationship with Dr. Bawumia since 2008 has allowed him to witness his loyalty, integrity and commitment to national development firsthand.

“There is nothing negative I can say about him,” President Akufo-Addo affirmed, explaining that “Bawumia’s contributions to the government have consistently demonstrated his desire to see Ghana thrive.”

He encouraged Ghanaians to support Bawumia’s candidacy, confident that his leadership would drive significant advancements for the country.

“If Ghanaians want someone to attest to Dr. Bawumia’s qualities, I am the best person because I have worked closely with him. I know he is truthful and has Ghana’s progress at heart.

“If you come to the Jubilee House late at night, you will see only two office lights on—mine and Dr. Bawumia’s,” Akufo-Addo remarked.
