Election 2024: We're moving forward with you — Traders declare support for Bawumia

Thousands of market women across Accra have rallied behind Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, declaring him their preferred choice for Ghana’s upcoming election.

Defying the rains on Tuesday, Dr. Bawumia toured major Accra markets, including Mamprobi, Makola, Okaishie and Kantamanto, where he received a resounding welcome from enthusiastic traders.

Many women voiced their confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s ability to lead the country forward, appreciating initiatives like the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy, which they say has had a positive impact on their families.

“We are moving forward with Bawumia, so I will vote for him,” one trader affirmed.

Another added, “Free SHS has been a savior for us and our children. We want it to continue, and it can only be safe in the hands of Bawumia, who believes in it.”

Dr. Bawumia, undeterred by the rain, walked through the markets, engaging with traders who pledged their votes to him, expressing their hopes for continued progress and stability under his leadership.
