Scheduled examinations are currently underway at the University of Ghana Campus after authorities secured additional security.

Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Kwesi Yankah told Joy FMS' Super Morning Show that all the scheduled papers will go ahead and anyone who attempted to disrupt the examination would be handed over to the police for prosecution.

He said security details on campus on Saturday morning arrested three students for their alleged involvement in acts of vandalism on the campus.

Frederick Agyemang, Samuel Bekoe and Isaac Owusu are being held by the Legon Police to assist in investigations into the desecration of examination halls with human excreta on Saturday morning.

Prof. Yankah said the three were thought to have acted suspiciously during an inspection of the desecrated halls and the police believed they could be of some help in exposing those behind the acts.

Isaac Owusu was said to have collapsed and sent to the Police Hospital.

A section of the students opposed to a new accommodation policy on campus which provides for only first year students, had threatened to disrupt the examinations and also threatened to visit physical harm on some lecturers and university authorities.
