ASA Savings and Loans Ltd has donated 150 bags of cement to support the reconstruction of Accra Academy’s Alema Hall which got burnt to the ground in 2020.

At a short handing over ceremony of the items at the school premises, the Area Manager of ASA, Madam Harriet Quaye underscored the importance of corporate bodies and benevolent individuals supporting worthy causes such as this.

She was in the company of the Atico Branch Manager, Madam Irene Frimpong who said the donation forms part of the company’s social commitment to communities in which it operates.

The treasurer of the 1993-year group, Mr. Laud Nartey who received the items on behalf of the Old Students, said the rebuilding is going to restore a key part of Accra Academy’s history and help address the congestion problem in the school.

“We are grateful to the management of ASA for this kind gesture and we hope for future collaborations with you,” he said.

“We hope to complete and hand over the project on the 93rd Speech and Prize Giving Day, scheduled for October 26th 2024,” he added.

The CSR/Sustainability Manager of ASA, Richard Nartey added that the company hopes that this contribution will be impactful and help reduce congestion in the school.
