NDC NDC has become very attractive — Asifufuo Chief
MON, 14 OCT 2024 1

The Chief of Asifufuo, Nana Okyere Siabour III, says the pro-youth policies of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has made the party very attractive, especially to the youth.

He says gone were the days when the party was noted for having only elderly people as its main support base.

Nana Okyere Siabour made the observation at a community engagement event held by the vice presidential candidate of the NDC, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang at Norberkow in the Asunafo South Constituency as part of her campaign tour of the Ahafo Region.

Nana Okyere Siabour speaking at the event said Ghanaians have had the opportunity to compare the two major political parties and it is clear that the NDC puts the interest of the people first.

He said NDC policies such as the 24-Hour Economy, the Big Push and the No Fee Stress, among others, resonate very well with the youth of the country who are desperately looking for opportunities, including employment.

"Not too long ago, it was difficult to see the youth following the NDC and even wearing NDC T-shirts. But that is not the case anymore as the youth have taken over the party and it is now very attractive," he said.

Nana Okyere Siabour added, "some people have been using the ‘break the 8’ mantra but I can assure you that if the next NDC government will fulfills its promises to the people, then the party will be the first to break the 8."

For her part, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang said the NDC would keep its promise to Ghanaians by making the country a better place for all.

She therefore urged electorates to vote for Mr John Dramani Mahama and NDC parliamentary candidates in the December general elections.
