Chief of Asifufuo, Nana Okyere Siabour III, has praised the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for its appealing pro-youth policies, which he believes have attracted a younger demographic to the party.
He noted that the days of the NDC being primarily supported by older citizens are behind us.
Nana Okyere Siabour made these remarks during a community engagement event featuring the NDC’s Vice Presidential Candidate, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, at Norberkow in the Asunafo South Constituency. This event was part of her campaign tour in the Ahafo Region.
He emphasized that Ghanaians have had the opportunity to compare the two major political parties and have found that the NDC prioritizes the interests of the people.
Policies from the NDC's manifesto, such as the 24-Hour Economy, the Big Push, and No Fee Stress, resonate strongly with the youth who are in search of employment and opportunities.
"Recently, it was rare to see young people actively supporting the NDC or wearing its merchandise.
That’s changed; the youth have embraced the party, making it more attractive than ever," he stated.
Nana Okyere Siabour also mentioned the ‘break the 8’ slogan used by others, asserting that if the next NDC government delivers on its promises, it will be the first to achieve this milestone.
In response, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang assured attendees that the NDC is committed to fulfilling its promises and improving the nation for everyone.
She encouraged voters to support John Dramani Mahama and the NDC’s parliamentary candidates in the upcoming December elections.
