The Ministry of Women and Children's Affairs has wished all candidates sitting for the ongoing Basic Education Certificate Education well in their examinations, urging them to put in their best at this crucial point of their education.

This was contained in a goodwill message from the Ministry, signed by Hajia Alima Mahama, the sector Minister.

The message partly states: "You have come to the end of the basic stage of your educational ladder, from where you will progress to the second cycle level.

"Government is putting considerable resources into education with a lot of emphasis at the basic level so as to give every Ghanaian child the opportunity to have a sound grounding to develop his/her full potential."

Hajia Alima Mahama said it is her Ministry"s expectation that candidates will come out successfully at the BECE level and progress to the Senior High School level under the new education reform system.

She appealed to them to endeavour to do their teachers, parents or guardians and indeed the Government proud through the production of sterling results in the examination.
