National camp buzzing

The training pitches at the national camp in Prampram gets busy as various national teams assemble to prepare for their international commitments.

Two male national sides, the Black Starlets and the Black Satellites will be joining two female sides - Black Princesses and the newly formed female Under-14 team currently in camp.

On Tuesday, the junior national team, the Black Starlets after participation in African Junior Championship in March 2007 resume preparations for the World Cup in August.

Ghana, two-time World champions qualified for the FIFA Under-17 World Cup to be hosted by South Korea after clinching bronze at the African Junior Championship.

Black Starlets team coach, Fred Osam Duodu and his backroom staff will be taking to the fields on Wednesday to commence preparations with some 30 selected players after over a month's regeneration period.

The Black Starlets would be joined by their senior colleagues, the Under-20 team, the Black Satellites on Monday who also gather to prepare for the Toulon football festival in France.

The National Under-20 side would be assembling in camp after the premier league season comes to an end on Sunday.
