More trouble looms for North Dayi NDC

The North Dayi Constituency in the Kpando District on Akpini land in the Volta Region id gradually being conquered by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Apart from the efforts by the newly elected chairman of the party to win more souls for the NPP, there are certain hard nuts who are in there to create what people describe as trouble for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), which would definitely go to affect the performance of the party come 2008.

To many people, if the situation should remain the way it is, then there would be more serious trouble for the Member of Parliament for that Constituency, Hon. Akua Sena Densua.

The fact is that there are two strong personalities within the NPP who are doing every thing possible to bring development to that constituency to win the hearts of the people to the advantage of their party, the NPP.

The residents of Tsrukpe, no wonder by the end of the year would see the road to their village tarred.

At this point, several defections are being witnessed as the foot soldiers of the NDC are now in the camp of the NPP.

A survey conducted at Vakpo, one of the strongholds of the NDC revealed that the residents have developed the sprit of adamancy towards their one time beloved party, the NDC.

Their major road in that town has been tarred and they are particularly appreciative to the NPP government for the introduction of the National Youth Employment Programme.

The youth are in to serious agriculture and are commending government for such a pragmatic initiative.

Coming back to Kpando, the capital of the North Dayi Constituency, the constituents complain of neglect.

According to them, Members of Parliament are very influential in bringing development to their respective constituencies, but according to them, they are yet to witness that in their constituency.

They stated that they have realised across board the efforts the NPP administration is putting in to make life comfortable for Ghanaians.

They indicated that never in the history of their area have they enjoyed such developments.

They therefore advised their Member of Parliament to make her party, the NDC popular by being up and doing or they would advise themselves.
