Popular Ghanaian broadcaster, Afia Pokua, also known as 'Vim Lady' has pleaded with the public to stop attacking and insulting her, clarifying that she is not the journalist accused of disrespecting the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
Vim Lady explained that another journalist with the same name from Agoo FM is the one, not her.
According to her, she has been receiving numerous insults and threats from Ashantis who mistaken hjer for the said lady who allegedly disrespected the Asantehene.
"Please, those texting me and insulting me about this issue, this is NOT ME," she emphasized in a Facebook post.
Vim Lady further explained, "I was born in Tema, but my Ashanti roots are firmly planted in Adansi/Kwabre and Amansie. My ntamkese is Sikadwa!"
This clarification follows an incident where Afia Pokua of Agoo TV made critical remarks about the Asantehene’s perceived silence in ongoing tribal conflicts, leading to a wave of backlash, especially from Ashantis, including Afia Schwarzenegger.
