I Want To Know, Akufo Addo, Which Country Would You Request Political Asylum In If You Escape A Coup In Ghana?

Many West African nations, including Ghana, never tolerate military rule, since it is viewed as a non-democratic regime. However, Akufo Addo, who like other African leaders, has not been a fan of military dictatorship, and many times has urged the Ghanaian military to uphold democratic principles by abiding by the Constitution, has unexpectedly become a dictator himself, by hiding behind democracy, while continuously tormenting and oppressing Ghanaians, since assuming power in 2017.

Up until Akufo Addo came to power in 2017 by deceit, Ghana was a country that guaranteed economic unity, free movement of commodities, services, and financial resources, support for competition, and freedom of economic activity under previous regimes. Since then, the country has been destroyed by crimes committed with impunity, elections are conducted with irregularities, and the ruling party has the freedom to employ dubious administrative resources or to fabricate voter registration outright.

It defies logic that Akufo Addo, a self-described human rights activist and lawyer, would be lawless to have his security in the government’s office of the Flagstaff House associated with armed robbery. It begs the question of why someone who promised to combat corruption and illicit mining would be behind the two criminal practices, that resulted in the collapse of the national economy, businesses, and investment, and, more significantly, have an impact on the nation's output of cocoa in agriculture.

Among the numerous financial crimes that Akufo Addo has done are his three instances of money printing without the approval of parliament, which he carried out in conjunction with Ernest Addison, the governor of the Bank of Ghana. Akufo speaks out against the military regime despite the president's involvement in money laundering that led to the closure of the Ghana embassy's bank accounts in Belgium and his exposure by the international media Al Jazeera in his black gold trade, which cost the country billions of dollars.

Meanwhile, his relative, the finance minister Ken Ofori-Atta, purposefully collapsed eight banking institutions to gain a monopoly for his Data Bank. So why would someone who opposes the military regime commit all these financial crimes when his illicit actions call for the military to seize control of the country? Someone who lives in a glass house shouldn’t throw stones, but Akufo Addo has broken the law so often in the name of democracy that many Ghanaians are calling for a coup.

In my opinion, it has taken longer for the military to remove him from office owing to his immoralities, which include rampant corruption and money laundering. His impeachment is also long overdue. Akufo Addo is not a politician; he is a professional criminal who used his father’s influence to enter into politics based on the “Agyapadie book,” and has ruined Ghana beyond remedy. Despite his great laziness, he enjoys living a luxurious lifestyle and renaming established organizations in his family's honor.

The president uses, among other things, shady ties like the "Agyapadie" notion to monopolize financial institutions, such as the Bank of Ghana, and impose their terms on the markets. His legendary gang makes much money for him, so the nation’s entire infrastructure has been destroyed. This gang includes the corrupt members of his family, the military, the police, judges at the Supreme Court, state-sponsored media, pastors, religious institutions, and tribal writers.

Akufo Addo has denied Ghanaians eight years of development amid a GHC 771 billion public debt, which indicates that he has spent more of the money paying numerous people, organizations, and Supreme Court judges to keep quiet and support his illegal activities, as he views the judges he has appointed as his shield. However, since a proverb unequivocally states that a man's enemy is those in his own home, I would like to know from Akufo Addo which country he would apply for political asylum in the event of a coup.

Would he travel to any nation in Africa, America, or Europe? After being exposed by Al Jazeera, Akufo Addo's reputation has suffered on a global scale; therefore, neither America nor Europe is willing to accept him as a refugee. I believe that the only person interested in Akufo Addo's corruption is Julius Maada Bio, the president of Sierra Leone and a former military commander; therefore, when a coup occurs and he escapes, he should know that his destination forever is Sierra Leone.

How do you want government to fight illegal mining?
