The Ho West Constituency Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Nukomeko Tetteh, led a team to file the nomination of the incumbent MP, Hon. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzra, for the upcoming elections.

Hon. Bedzra, who has served as the Member of Parliament for Ho West since 2008 and is currently on assignment at the ECOWAS Parliament, is seeking re-election for the fourth time.

The filing by the NDC team followed the ruling NPP's earlier submission, which faced delays due to corrections requested by the Electoral Commission (EC) regarding the NPP candidate's photographs.

Although the NDC filed second, the sequence of filing does not guarantee their position on the ballot paper, as balloting will be conducted by the EC, and the Flagbearers' positions will influence the Parliamentary candidates' placement.

Chairman Tetteh underscored the NDC's goal of securing over 45,000 votes for both Hon. Bedzra and the party’s Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, in Ho West. He emphasized the importance of their door-to-door campaign, designed to connect directly with constituents, and urged party members to actively support this initiative.

Hon. Bedzra, in a previous statement, committed to leading a vigorous campaign by personally visiting homes to advocate for his re-election and the return of Mahama as President.

With confidence in their strategy, the NDC is poised for a strong performance in the 2024 elections in Ho West.
