The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fifi Fiavi Kwetey has bemoaned what he describes as the systematic degradation of Ghana under the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Speaking at the official launch of the NDC manifesto in Takoradi on Saturday, August 24, Mr. Kwetey urged Ghanaians to reject the NPP in the 2024 general election, warning that the party is notorious for making empty promises.
“The NPP is notorious for making empty promises. Our country has systematically been brought to a level of hopelessness.
“Over the past years, we have seen systematic degradation of our nation, a country that was on a path of transformation,” Fifi Fiavi Kwetey lamented.
In his speech, the NDC General Secretary said the party’s manifesto will bring hope to the Ghanaian people and the country.
He said, “Today we will listen to the unveiling of policies that will bring back hope to our country.”
Speaking in his address, NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama promised that the next government of his party will fight corruption.
He said his administration will embark on a recovery operation to recover all state funds looted by officials of the NPP government.
