Oboshie prays for bigger ‘Easter Soup Kitchen’

Deputy Information and National Orientation Minister, Oboshie Sai-Cofie on Sunday made a personal cash donation towards the Joy FM Easter Soup Kitchen and prayed that the charity event would grow bigger to be replicated in all corners of the country.

“I hope that as the years go by, we will replicate it not only in all regions but also in all districts, all cities and towns to make it grow and grow to become a routine and a ritual.”

In a brief remark at the Efua Sutherland Park (Children's Park) in Accra where the 10th edition of Joy FM's annual charity brought thousands of society's deprived and needy to party, receive counselling and medical attention and be clothed, she said it was just appropriate that on the occasion of Easter, society is reconciled.

She said reconciliation and giving constitute cardinal foundations of Easter and it was encouraging that members of society were freely donating to the cause of giving hope to the poor while several others showed encouraging zeal to help make the day a memorable one.
