Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has stated that Ghanaians made a terrible mistake voting the New Patriotic Party (NPP) into power.
The former president was voted out of office on December 7, 2016, with Ghanaians voting massively for candidate Akufo-Addo who has been President since 2017.
Ahead of the 2024 General Election, President John Dramani Mahama has appealed to the Ghanaian electorates to ditch the NPP.
Speaking to the people of Adaklu as part of his tour of the Volta Region, the flagbearer of the NDC said “This Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government is a terrible mistake Ghanaians made.”
He said amid the hardships in the country, the NDC should be the choice of every voter in the 2024 general election.
He has promised to turn things around to transform the country.
Among the many things he has promised, the 24-hour economy proposal stands out.
If implemented, he has promised that there will be a three-shift system, ensuring that two additional people can be employed for the job of one person.
John Dramani Mahama will have the chance to share more of his plans for the country on August 24 when the NDC launches the party’s manifesto ahead of the December 7 polls.
Before that, the NPP will also launch its manifesto on August 18.
