Chief Richard Lamai, a prominent figure in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has extended his congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the vote of confidence in his administration by the National Council of State.
Speaking to journalists in his Abuja office, the APC stalwart lauded the president, stating that the confidence vote came at a critical moment when the nation needed reassurance from its highest advisory body.
He praised the council members for stepping up to alleviate the nation’s tension, noting that the confidence vote serves as a significant morale booster not only for the president but for the entire APC family and the nation as a whole.
Chief Lamai, who served as the Deputy Director of Support Groups in the APC Presidential Campaign Council last year, affirmed that the president has performed commendably and remains on the right track to renewing the hope of Nigerians. He emphasized that the president does not need unnecessary distractions.
He urged the youth to eschew violence and support the ongoing multi-sectoral reforms of the Federal Government, which have created numerous opportunities for people across various sectors.
Having recently completed a sensitization tour of the South-South states, Chief Lamai acknowledged the challenges of leadership, saying, "Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown." He called on all Nigerians to offer their support, patience, and prayers to help realize the vision of a prosperous nation.
