North America Dema Naa unveils Nagbiegu Against Drugs campaign

Naa Basha Ibrahim Iddrisu, the newly appointed Entertainment Chief of the Dagomba Community in North America, has initiated a campaign against drug abuse and trafficking in the Northern Region.

The initiative, named "Nagbiegu Against Drugs," aims to educate and raise awareness about the dangers and consequences of drug use and trafficking.

The campaign will begin with health walks in selected communities, followed by a main event featuring experts who will inform the youth about the risks associated with drug abuse and trafficking.

Naa Basha Ibrahim Iddrisu unveiled his plans during a courtesy visit to the King and Overlord of Dagbon, Ndan Ya-Naa Abukari II, at the Gbewaa Palace in Yendi over the weekend. Accompanied by other Entertainment Chiefs of Dagbon, the North America Dema Naa highlighted the importance of collective efforts to tackle the growing problem of drug abuse among young people in the region.

He suggested using the traditional Naabiegu dance as a medium to educate the youth about the dangers of drug abuse and trafficking, thereby leveraging entertainment as a tool for awareness.

As a gesture of appreciation, North America Dema Naa Basha Ibrahim Iddrisu presented a 70-inch smart TV to the Yaa Naa's palace, enhancing the palace's entertainment and communication facilities.

Ndan Ya Naa welcomed the North America Dema Naa and commended him for his initiative, expressing his support for the campaign against drug abuse. He encouraged the youth to steer clear of drugs and focus on their education and personal development.
