The Chiefs and Queen Mothers of Builsa South have admonished the Electoral Commission (EC), to ensure the upcoming elections are conducted in a manner that is free, fair, transparent, and credible.
Speaking on behalf of the traditional leaders in Fumbisi, Nab Atabong Adila Akanbeanab Akanbong, the Doninga Chief, emphasised the critical importance of the EC performing its duties with integrity to foster trust among stakeholders and prevent potential disputes.
"We call upon the EC to discharge its functions in ways that engender trust and broad acceptance by committing to be an honest arbiter," stated Nab Akanbong.
In addition to addressing the EC, the chief also directed advice to political parties and their leaders, urging them to conduct their campaigns with civility and respect.
He stressed the need for politicians to prioritise national peace and security by refraining from actions that could jeopardise the current peaceful atmosphere in the country.
"We wish to avail ourselves of this opportunity to advise all politicians seeking the mandate of the good people of Ghana to conduct their campaigns with civility and decorum," he remarked.
