The Hopeson Adorye-published “Agyapadeε” Document makes for a quite fascinating reading, if also because, contrary to what the former staunch lieutenant to the late Mr. Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie – aka Sir John – would have the rest of the country and, to be certain, the entire global Ghanaian community believe, it strikingly reflects the wanton plundering and the pillaging of the mineral and other natural resources of the country during the 20 drawn-out years that the Anlo-Ewe-dominated late Chairman Jeremiah “Jerry” John Rawlings-led junta of the Provisional National Defense Council (PNDC) and, later, the democratically elected President Rawlings-founded and chaperoned National Democratic Congress (NDC) literally held the Sovereign Democratic Republic of Ghana as their personal patrimony.

In short, the “Agyapadeε” Document is the framework and the blueprint of the method by which one heavily armed ethnic minority group in the country and its allies literally held the Akan ethnic majority and its allied groups by their gonads and their scruff, as it were. Consequently, what we find in the 38-page – actually 40-page – “Agyapadeε” Document is the general contours of the strategic counterattack obliquely and deviously orchestrated by the original “State-Capture” thieves and thugs of our beloved Sovereign Democratic Republic of Ghana, to wit, the key operatives of the statutorily defunct Provisional National Defense Council and the latter’s immediate institutional progeny, the National Democratic Congress, to take back the country the bulk of whose resources they had employed their Reign-of-Terror Tactics to cannibalize for nearly a generation.

Dear Reader, you may vividly recall a seismically defeated President Mahama, in the wake of the 2016 Presidential Election, earnestly and desperately demanding to be gifted the official residence of the Vice-President of Ghana as a reward for having been mercilessly trounced by our present lame-duck President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. The “Agyapedeε” Document is, consequently, not really the “fake” document that Nana Akufo-Addo recently claimed had been deliberately and criminally concocted by his ardent and inveterate detractors to ruin his image, reputation and dignity.

What the document, obviously cobbled together by decently paid hacks of the John “I Have No Classmates in Ghana” Dramani Mahama-led National Democratic Congress does, is to unwittingly and inimitably expose the nonesuch genius of the strategists and the counter-strategists and the “Irredentist” theorists and ideologues of the New Patriotic Party. Indeed, not very long ago – I suppose it was during the runup to the watershed 2016 Presidential Election – when during the course of a private conference of New Patriotic Party stalwarts, the Agyekum-Kufuor-shuffled former Finance Minister and, subsequently, summarily expelled Sports Minister, was alleged by an anonymous National Democratic Congress-planted mole who had also attended the same meeting, held in the Eastern regional capital of Koforidua, to have expressed grave concern and anger over the fact that the fiscal and the natural resources of the country appeared to have been hijacked by a handful of some ethnic minority leaders and politicians in the country who had effectively assumed complete sway over the same.

Even more riling or irksome to him, several media reports alleged, Mr. Yaw Osafo-Maafo, currently the Senior Adviser to President Akufo-Addo, was further alleged to have asserted that he was implacably disgusted by the fact that these National Democratic Congress’ grubworms largely hailed from localities of the country with little to absolutely no worthwhile natural resources and significant economic activities to facilitate the healthy and the rapid development of the country. As was naturally to be expected, a handful of woefully misguided party operatives, including Nana (Kwabena) Akomea, the current Managing-Director of the State Transport Corporation (STC), and Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the current Minister of Communications, would sheepishly join some National Democratic Congress’ protesters to massively demonstrate in protest of the all-too true and valid intellectually perspicuous observation of the Akyem-Awisa native, from the Akufo-Addo electoral stronghold of the Eastern Region.

Not surprisingly, in the run-up to the 2016 General Election, a megalomaniacal and politically desperate President Mahama would billet or garrison at least 2,000 (Two Thousand) uniformed personnel from the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) to systematically intimidate the living daylights out of the One-Million-Plus Residents and Inhabitants of the Koforidua Municipality and its environs. The Bole-Bamboi native, from the Akufo-Addo-created Savannah Region, would also comically resort to wearing military fatigues and riding military motorbikes in a not-so-subtle bid to sending a grossly miscalculated signal that he intended to retain his Executive Suite at Jubilee House by hook or crook.

The “Agyapadeε” Document also gives a morally refreshing and scintillating insight into the long-established kleptocratic shenanigans of the key operatives of the present main opposition National Democratic Congress and their allies, in the main how Mahama cronies and associates like Isaac Adongo, the former Finance Minister, Drs. Papa Kwesi Nduom and Kwabena Duffuor and Mr. James Akpo – aka Togbe Afede, XIV, have used their considerable clout with the leadership of the National Democratic Congress to effectively control the mining, the banking and the insurance industry. But, of course, this is not what one expects a politically wounded and an ego bruised and an erratically disaffected Alan Kyerematen shill and goon like Hopeson Adorye to highlight or be focused upon, especially regarding how, for example, a middle-level and perennially cash-strapped Legon Law School Lecturer like Mr. Tsatsu Tsikata became the multimillionaire Managing-Director of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), under the watch of his cousin Chairman Jeremiah “Jerry” John Rawlings.
