The Inter-Party and Civil Society Relations Directorate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), under the leadership of Dr. Peter Boamah Otokunor, has successfully concluded a comprehensive three-day retreat to plan and strategise for the identifiable organizations campaign engagements as part of the #MahamaForPresident 2024 campaign.
The programme brought together all Regional Directors and deputy directors of the Inter-Party and Civil Society Relations Directorate of the NDC.
The event was aimed at strategizing and building the capacity of the officers for the upcoming general elections to enhance the outreach to civil society groups, organized bodies and identifiable social organizations.
The retreat featured an array of esteemed speakers, including Hon. Kofi Adams, Member of Parliament for Buem, Dr. William Ahadzi Rector, Ghana Institute of Social Democracy and a host of others.
Dr. Otokunor, in his remarks to the participants, reiterated the need to eschew complacency and work aggressively and relentlessly to win the 2024 general elections.
He stated that, "the retreat marks a significant step in our journey towards victory. However, the cannot materialize unless the knowledge and skills acquired is strategically put into action. I urge each one of you not to relent after this capacity building. We must all work tirelessly for the victory of the NDC. Our success depends on our collective effort and unwavering commitment to the course of the party."
Participants expressed their satisfaction with the retreat, noting that it equipped them with the necessary tools and strategies to enhance their performance in their respective regions. The atmosphere was one of renewed energy and determination, with a shared sense of readiness and a call to action that will lead the NDC to victory in the forthcoming elections.
