After failing twice to become president of Ghana, Akufo Addo and Bawumia made themselves known as leaders who would turn everything in Ghana into gold and the country would flow with milk and honey once he was elected president. False information was disseminated by the public against John Mahama, which led to his defeat in the 2016 presidential election. Nevertheless, history has shown that the incompetence of the NPP makes it the most useless political party not just in Africa but globally.

There is always corruption in politics. Even the most developed nations with cutting-edge tools to combat corruption have only succeeded in lessening it, not eliminating it. This implies that there will always be corruption in African politics, and it will never be solved. However, to create a successful nation with a thriving economy, jobs for the youth, and enhanced medical and educational sectors, Ghanaians must take a few factors into account when selecting a leader.

Even though Africa has an abundance of mineral resources that have helped developed nations build prosperous economies, the continent itself nevertheless has a high rate of poverty. Politics in Africa continues to benefit politicians at the expense of the people, who are left to live in abject poverty by the majority of powerful politicians who are only concerned with their wealth. Ghanaians, for instance, have lived in poverty more under the NPP than under any previous administration.

Since African politics are driven by greed, more money is stolen than is utilized for national development or job creation for the region's unemployed population. Akufo Addo and Bawumia not only failed Ghanaians to fulfill their promises of making “Ghana the Dubai of Africa, every Ghanaian having a bank account, and fighting corruption with Anas’ principles, they also abandoned all the uncompleted projects left by the former government, which belong to the people.

After almost eight years of Akufo Addo-Bawumia's presidency, something happened that Ghanaians are unable to understand. Everything they exploited to undermine the previous administration, such as the fluctuating exchange rate between the country's currency and the US dollar and the unreliable electricity, came back to haunt them. Ghana's economy, enterprises, and investments have all been completely decimated by the NPP to the point where both indigenous companies and those that rely on imports to run their operations have completely stopped.

This is the rationale for my assertion that Ghanaians would not have been aware that Akufo Addo and Bawumia were not only corrupt and ineffective politicians but also lacked the brains necessary to govern the nation had they not entered the political scene. The NPP government's culture of institutional negligence, state takeover, and systematic theft of the national economy has forced most Ghanaians into poverty and led to the greatest rate of inflation, which makes life even more miserable for the populace.

Akufo Addo, Bawumia, the ex-finance minister, and the head of the electoral commission, Jean Mensa, have often been involved in gross violations of the constitutions and constitutional laws that impact the country have been disastrous. The ruling elites have undermined the legal rules, thus, transforming the legal process into a permanent state of lawlessness, resulting in the rapid increase of corruption with impunity. The NPP government is now responsible for a national debt of GHC 742 billion, without accountability.

Ghana is a great country where Muslims and Christians coexist well for a reason. God loves Ghana and will always provide the means for the people to choose a better leader and free themselves from the mental and physical enslavement of the NPP, state control, and pervasive corruption to build a better nation for themselves, their offspring, and the next generation.

This is a brief tutorial on selecting a leader who will improve the economy of the country.

  1. Parties have direct power over people by promising things like welfare and better living standards, among other things. Voters should consider which party has delivered on its pledges the best before selecting that party, as it is a waste of time to support a party that hasn't lived up to its claims.
  1. Determine which government has demonstrated a sincere commitment to safeguarding the environment, rivers, and ecosystem to establish a healthy environment that is conducive to engaging with youth and providing care for the elderly.
  1. Ghanaians were informed by the opposition party before 2016 that the president should resign due to his corruption and incompetence, as seen by the rate of the Cedi, 3.74, against the US dollar, indicating the government's fragility. Thus, a new administration assumes office, and it remains in that position to this day. Any wise Ghanaian must now assess whether the current government has performed better than the previous one to choose which party to support.
  1. Budgets are presented to the Parliament for approval, and money is spent on project execution. Every Ghanaian should investigate the amount of money granted to the government and its effectiveness in carrying out initiatives. Has the funding been allocated to the appropriate projects or has it been directed to the wrong channels? If there is debt, how did it accrue?
  1. In many developing countries, let alone the developed ones, such as China, Japan, and the United States of America, politicians involved in corruption scandals, are either sacked from the government or arraigned before the law and if found guilty, are incarcerated.

As a Ghanaian concerned about the future of the country and the next generation, it should be your responsibility to find out how the government deals with corruption cases. If the corrupt politicians are declared free from wrongdoings, don’t waste your time to vote for such a party that keeps all its corrupt politicians, such as Cecilia Dapaah, and Eugene Arhin, in the government.

  1. A responsible government should control the market, keep an eye on how the law is being applied, and defend the rights of the populace. Does the government uphold the Constitution and the rights of the people? If not, don't spend your time voting for such a party since they are irresponsible and will never lead you to the Promised Land.
  1. It's critical to comprehend the policies of each party before selecting which one to support. Political parties take varying stances on the economy, immigration, social security, religion, and other significant issues. Compare and contrast which government has been a real player on these matters historically and currently. Choose the political party that is most devoted to your beliefs and cast your vote.
  1. When someone tries to buy you off when it comes time to cast your vote, you should know that they have failed, that is why they are trying to bribe you to vote for them. You always have a choice: accept the money or reject it. However, you shouldn't vote for that party, to avoid destroying your future.
  1. You can evaluate the party's track record of keeping its pledges and its ability to serve the interests of its voters successfully. This will assist you in determining whether or not to trust the party with your votes in the upcoming election.
  1. Don't rely on other people's opinions. While friends, family, and coworkers may have prejudiced or incorrect beliefs, they can still have an impact on your choice of candidate. You must base your choices on your priorities and an analysis of party policies.

After nearly eight years in power, Akufo Addo and Bawumia can only claim to have renamed already-built institutions. The administration destroyed a hospital that was providing care for the residents of Labadi, Teshie, and Nungua, and couldn’t replace it, yet they want Ghanaians to believe “Agenda 111.” That’s why I have concluded that Mahama is more intelligent than Akufo Addo and Bawumia, as seen by his leadership in national development, which includes the NPP's stronghold in the Ashanti Region.

Since the European Union has decided to stop importing cocoa from Ghana due to the government's failure to stop illegal mining in the country, the purchasing power of Ghanaian cocoa has decreased. That's one of the reasons farmers and the cocoa industries are having difficulties. Agriculture has also decreased, which means if care is not taken, Ghana will face a hunger threat. For this reason, Ghanaians need to think about all of these while selecting a more competent and intelligent leader.

Which political party manifesto inspires hope?
