Government has revealed that $312 million has been invested so far in the Agenda 111 projects, out of an estimated total cost of $176 billion.
Presidential Advisor on Health, Dr Anthony Nsiah Asare, recently announced that 50 per cent of the Agenda 111 hospitals will be completed by the end of 2024 to support the government's efforts in providing accessible and quality healthcare for Ghanaians.
Appearing before the Government Assurances Committee, the Minister of Health, Dr. Bernard Okoe Boye, stated that although most of the projects are at various stages of construction, none are yet completed for the inauguration.
“Land issues accounted for the changes in some timelines, and contractor capacity also accounted for some of the timelines… I’m happy to say that the state has paid over $312 for IPCs, as in the work done so far.”
