Veteran Producer Buddy RoRo, born Roland Ackah, has reacted to Osofo Kyiri Abosom's recent claim that he does not believe in the existence of heaven and hell.
The popular pastor and founder of the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) political party, Osofo Kyiri Abosom, stated that heaven and hell are not real.
During an interview on the Oyerepa Breakfast Show weeks ago, Osofo Kyiri Abosom noted that heaven and hell do not exist.
He said, “I don’t believe in heaven, I don’t believe in hell. There’s nothing like that. It’s a big scam.”
He argued that the notion of an afterlife is merely an illusion and urged people to focus on developing their country rather than relying on the promise of a non-existent paradise in Heaven.
“Heaven is on the earth, so if we don’t develop our country, we’ll sit down and waste our time,” he stressed.
Osofo Kyiri Abosom also questioned the validity of religious teachings about the afterlife, asserting, “Whatever the pastors will tell you is a lie. If one dies, he is dead forever and nothing else.”
Reacting to this on Amansan Krakye in an interview, the veteran producer, Buddy RoRo remarked, "What I have read, listened to and seen makes me believe that there is heaven and hell and God exists.
"So if Osofo Kyiri Abosom says he doesn't believe in the existence of heaven and hell, definitely no one will stay in this world forever," he said.
He continued, "If he dies, he will know that heaven and hell are real, but you should accept Christ and live a righteous life so that if you die, you can have your eternal salvation.
"If you die and realize heaven and hell exist, there is no turning back, but as for me, I believe strongly that heaven and hell are real, so if Kyiri Abosom dies, he will know, but maybe it might be too late.”
