Lawyer Obey And His Ignorant Communication Officer Must Stop Their Divisive Tribal/Chieftaincy Politics In Daboya/Mankarigu

We have taken notice of the divisive and destructive path of the rejected former MP for Daboya/Mankarigu constituency, Lawyer Mahama Shaibu Obey, and his party to revive his dead political career in the Daboya/Mankarigu constituency. The former MP, who was chased out of Parliament like a "dog in a mosque" for his ineptitude and poor performance, is back again to further destroy the constituency we’re working hard to build from his destructions.

This is an MP under whose tenure he instigated a series of chieftaincy conflicts that led to the loss of many lives and properties. This "conflictprenuer", instead of repenting his ways and seeking forgiveness from the good people of the district, is back again with his divisive schemes. We are warning Obey to desist from his evil machinations and allow the district to develop from the ruins he left us. He should immediately call his errand boys to order and refrain from mentioning the names of Hon Samuel Tika and Hon Samuel Jinapor in their divisive write-ups.

Hon Tika and Hon Jinapor are peace-loving people who are committed to the socio-economic well-being of the good people of the district and won’t fall in the gutters with people suffering from low self-esteem. In their recent visit, the duo partnered to renovate the Lingbinsi clinic; a clinic they followed Obey for years to renovate, and he refused.

Hon Tika is not interested in chieftaincy/tribal politics! His preoccupation in politics is to serve with utmost respect and humility for the betterment of his people. Over the years, he has committed himself to the development of the area through his superior lobbying skills. In the last few years, Hon Tika, in partnership with other stakeholders, has led to the extension of electricity to over 35 communities in the district, the construction of a highway linking Daboya to Mankarigu, schools, hospitals, etc.

Obey should better look for a campaign message and stop this recklessness that could plunge us into chaos, or better still, resign from politics and dabble in his chieftaincy matters. After all, he has nothing new to offer the good people of Daboya/Mankarigu. This is a man that has no single record of development to his name after being in parliament for four wasted years.

The good people of Daboya/Mankarigu constituency are sophisticated, awake, and above the shenanigans of incompetent Obey and his party. They will choose development-oriented leaders such as Dr Mahamadu Bawumia and Hon Samuel Tika to continue with the Daboya bridge, Agenda 111 district hospital, extension of electricity coverage, clinics, schools, youth empowerment, etc.
