As those of us who are old enough and not nearly as scandalously gullible as the two women journalists with whom Mr. Hopeson Adorye, the former Arch-Lieutenant to the late Mr. Kwadwo Owusu-Afriyie – aka Sir John – recently “shit-bombed” Ghanaians with the lurid contents of some clearly concocted document called “Agyapadeε” vividly recall, the very first time that any of us, bona fide adult-Ghanaian citizens were made curiously aware of an “Ethnically Related Project” was in the wake of the skin-of-tooth electoral victory of the late President John Evans Atta-Mills and his then Running-Mate and, shortly thereafter, Vice-President Elect, John “I Have No Classmates in Ghana” Dramani Mahama, assumed the democratic reins of governance in the country.
Back then, that is, around about early 2009, appealed to for help in completing some uncompleted and abandoned projects left behind by the recently outgone John “The Gentle Giant” Agyekum-Kufuor-led government of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Prof. Atta-Mills, as the former Serial and the Rawlings-coronated Dynastic Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), a la the globally infamous “Swedru Declaration,” was also popularly known, would be widely reported and quoted by the local Ghanaian media to have contemptuously snorted that: “I have no time for Kufuor’s Asante Projects.” Which is why it ought to come as nothing short of plain ironic and downright hypocritical that the Mahama Posse would be screaming their lungs out with desperate calls for President Akufo-Addo to complete the legion poorly thought-out projects abandoned by the previous Mahama regime.
Curiously, I have yet to hear of any ardent and/or inveterate Akufo-Addo critics raise this most historically relevant issue regarding the existence or preexistence of an “Asante Project,” one that has relatively long preceded the so-called "Akyem Project” which, by the way strikingly and unmistakably reads like the globally infamous and thunderously denounced Antisemitic Document called the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion,” whose authors have been claiming for centuries that Jews, especially European Jews, have long harbored the sole and singular objective of talking over and hermetically dominating global politics in perpetuity. We see the same sort of Ethnic Hatred replicated in the so-called “Agyapadeε” Document which Mr. Adorye, a summarily dismissed executive operative of the Akufo-Addo Government, claims to encapsulate the “State-Capture” Objectives of the People of the Three-Akyem States or Kingdoms, in particular the People of the Akyem-Abuakwa State and their Paramount King.
You see, you cannot have a “Kingdom” anywhere in Ghana and not have a “King” or a “Paramount King.” But, of course, the latter is not the focus of the argument or critical analysis of this brief essay. Now, the problem that “The Publisher” of the “Agyapadeε” Document, to wit, Mr. Hopeson Adorye, has here regards the fact of why it took this Ethnic-Ewe Ghanaian Citizen at least a half-decade, after coming to an awareness of the existence of such a decidedly invidious and fascistic document and/or agenda, treasonous as well, by the way, spearheaded by the Chief or the Paramount King of Akyem-Abuakwa, going back to at least between 2017 and 2019, that is for almost the entire span of the two-term tenure of President Akufo-Addo, before coming public to divulge the clearly lurid and ethno-geopolitically divisive contents of the same. And then only decide to take the latter action after the informant had been summarily dismissed from his job as an executive operative of the Akufo-Addo Government, and then effectively expelled as a bona fide member and stalwart of the New Patriotic Party?
Yes, and just as he names a Mr. D M Ofori-Atta as a coauthor of the “Agyapadeε” Document, Mr. Adorye does not tell his audience how many people authored the latter document, the “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” also names the names of some influential Jewish leaders that the latter document claims to have been smack behind this Darwinian and morally untenable attempt to conquer global humanity and lord it over the entirety of the rest of us. In short, the soundly defeated operatives of the Butterfly Party or the Movement for Change, so-called, are admittedly clever political propaganda goons but the gambit deployed here is scarcely creative or ingenuous, not by any stretch of the imagination, as it tells us, readers and listeners, alike, far more about the reprehensible character of the Anti-Bawumia Goons behind this badly concocted ploy than it tells us anything really coherent or insightful about the alleged shenanigans of the Paramount King of Akyem-Abuakwa or Okyeman and his People.
We must also quickly underscore the readily verifiable fact that Mr. Adorye, who may very well have been afforded short-shrift treatment by the Akyem/Kyebi Mafia, just as Mr. Kwadwo Mpiani, the two-term Agyekum-Kufuor Presidential Chief-of-Staff, informed Ghanaians not very long ago, that the Agyekum-Kufuor Cabal or the Asante/Kumasi Mafia had deliberately and systematically sabotaged the presidential ambitions of Mr. Agyekum-Kufuor’s sometime Attorney-General and Minister of Justice and, subsequently, Minister of Foreign Affairs, because the now lame-duck Akyem-Abomosu native had also attempted to unjustifiably and illegitimately thwart the presidential ambitions of an electorally triumphant Candidate Agyekum-Kufuor in favor of a legitimately defeated Candidate Albert A. Adu-Boahen in the Party’s 1996 Presidential Primary, Hopeson, obviously, feels implacably wounded and in dire need of a cathartic pushback, irrespective of whether such retaliatory pushback bountifully redounds to the benefit of his inveterate political enemies of yesteryear.
