The MaryMaud Charity Foundation, led by L.P. MaryMaud Ankobiah, paid a courtesy call to Apam Orphanage Home at Pokuase.

This visit is part of a new initiative to add two additional orphanages to their list of partners, expanding their reach from one to three orphanages this year.

During the visit to Apam Orphanage, the team provided food packs, drinks, and water to feed 150 children.

On Saturday, 27th July 2024, another courtesy call was made to the Countryside Welfare Home, an orphanage located at Awutu Bawjiase in the Central Region.

These courtesy calls are part of the Charity’s preliminary due diligence and assessment of orphanages before official visits are made.

In August 2024, marking Charity’s anniversary since its official launch last year at the Village of Hope Orphanage, several outreach efforts will focus on addressing the basic needs of the three orphanages.

Upon inquiring about their critical needs, L.P. MaryMaud Ankobiah, President of the MaryMaud Charity Foundation, noted that all three orphanages have basic schools but lack essential educational materials. These needs include exercise books, stationery, and school bags, as well as health necessities such as NHIA Cards and feeding supplies.

L.P. MaryMaud Ankobiah also announced that 500 children from the three orphanages and their immediate environs will be registered onto the National Health Insurance Scheme for free.

She therefore called for support from benevolent donors and corporate bodies to achieve this laudable initiative.

L.P. MaryMaud Ankobiah is spearheading these charitable activities, ensuring that the funds raised and donations received will go towards meeting these essential needs for the three orphanages, thereby improving the quality of life for the children.

She was accompanied by some executives of the MaryMaud Charity Foundation during these visits.
